What kinds of services do you provide?
I provide QA and Testing services with a focus on

• Maximizing defect prevention (QA) effectiveness.
• Maximizing defect detection (Testing) effectiveness, including test automation if appropriate.
• Finding hidden leverage points in software development projects and organizations where small changes, using minimal resources, can produce large positive effects.

• Painless Process Improvement (yes it's possible)

Are you part of a large company?
No. I operate as Digital Media Group, Inc. which is a small company that provides contracting and consulting services and owns and operates the Softwareqatest.com web site. Sometimes I partner with other software development and QA consultants to provide services.

What is your background?
Twelve years experience in senior, lead, and management roles in Software Quality Assurance, Testing, Process Improvement, and Software Development, in a wide variety of industries for both large and small companies, and for commercial as well as government organizations. Recent projects have included development and implementation of multi-project management processes, software test planning and strategy, a software organization assessment, and custom test automation. Additional background:

• Provide occasional presentations at software-related conferences and meetings, including the 'Software Test and Performance' and 'Software Test Automation' conferences.
• Have been interviewed in 'Contract Professional' and 'Graduating Engineer' magazines.
• Certified Software Quality Engineer by the American Society for Quality.
• Official Baldridge Quality Award Examiner for the State of Virginia.
• Have developed and maintained the Softwareqatest.com web site, a resource for thousands of companies and more than 3 million software professionals and students worldwide since 1996.

I am located in Reston, Virginia near Washington D.C.
